Across the kitchen table to across the college campus… join Dara Barlin, MA in her mission to heal a painfully divided nation. Founder of DARE Consulting, Dara guides us through her groundbreaking six-step sequence designed to aid individuals and groups through the process of finding shared values amid political and social climates that hinder vital human connection. Participants will gain enhanced comprehension surrounding development of concrete skills to promote listening and understanding between parties in conflict, strategies for creating and maintaining “safe” spaces within communities and organizations to cultivate positive relationship building and implementation of the “EVAPIT” curriculum as a mechanism for cultivating trust.

Dara Barlin has spent 20+ years as a researcher, policy advisor, and global organizer seeking to improve outcomes for underserved communities. Recently she discovered a technique that radically accelerates the rate at which positive change can take place – it’s called 360 empathy. Over the past five years, Dara has fine-tuned her knowledge of 360 empathy and applied it to multiple contexts, helping non-profits and government agencies transform their culture, create more kindness, and improve outcomes. Dara’s written a book about large-scale reform in education, and her research has been featured in a number of venues including the United Nations, U.S. Senate, Harvard Education Letter, The Guardian, London Times, and other several other outlets. In 2012, Dara led a global project across 97 countries to build trust and develop a common blueprint for positive change. Dara has a Masters with honors in Public Policy from the London School of Economics, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Barnard College.
