Together with Author and Lecturer Erica Komisar, LCSW, we delve into the science of Motherhood and Postpartum Depression. From attachment and bonding to the importance of being present, attendees will examine the contemporary social landscape as it relates to new parents, the values and cultural norms often communicated surrounding motherhood, as well as neuroscience based research outlining the imperative nature of removing barriers that hinder parental availability and helping clients find the resources they need to navigate the ever increasing complexities of modern parenthood.

Renowned author, educator and practicing therapist Steven Levenkron, LMHC, examines the behavioral complexities and underlying psychology behind cutting and related self injury. Practitioners will explore variances in presentation and warning signs, sociological components and risk factors, along with strategies to address cutting behaviors within the therapeutic process.
