Class 1 – 10:00am-1:00pm (3 CEUs)
Management, Performance, and Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision is a vital part of managing behavioral health staff. As a supervisor overseeing direct practice staff, training and support around clinical case issues will need to occur. In addition, supervisors must be able to assist staff with navigating the daily requirements of their job. This class will focus on providing clinical guidance to staff as well as how to motivate and engage staff in the supervision process. Participants will learn how to establish boundaries, address personnel concerns such as hiring and firing, and most of all to be an inspirational leader. (Trainer, M. Elizabeth Bowman, LICSW, LCSW-C)
Class 2 – 1:45pm-4:45pm (3 CEUs- Ethics)
Supervisory Ethics and Conflict Resolution
Supervising staff requires intimate knowledge of the Code of Ethics as well as practical application of ethical standards. This is particularly pe
rtinent when on the job conflicts arise. The class will focus on conflict resolution and ethical concerns including boundary issues, dual roles, etc. Participants will study types of conflict and how to identify and resolve conflicts and ethical dilemmas in the workplace in the role of a manager.
